New CD about to be released for CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP - April 27, 2005

Its about time! (Or so a few people have told me) I was doing the numbers the other day and I'm pretty sure I've done tracking on over 57 albums in one capacity or another. Thats fun and exciting, but it would be more exciting, and even more fun for me if one of those albums were mine. (Urban Legend Notwithstanding) So hey! I think I'll do my own. After-all I have this home studio and everything, it seems fitting. So it will be out soon! Some of the cuts are in my music section under "Solo piano". I'm talking to a good friend about art work, and Michael Patterson and my uncle (fondly known as Uncle Dave) are giving me some rich fertilizer for ideas. I plan on basically giving this CD away. Thats right.. its gonna be pretty much FREE FREE FREE. It occurs to me that I will charge everyone for all the stuff I do for their projects and give away my own. If that seems backwards.. well so be it. (well as much as possible, I may have to charge materials costs--you didn't think it was totally free did you? Somewhere around $7.99 online and a little less if you buy it from me in person). It should be ready in a week and a half or so. It Should be very fun! Yes I'm covering some well known, tried, and true standards, as well as some original material. I've also included new standards that one wouldn't neccessarily classify as a jazz standard.. the "New Jazz Standard" per se.. or at least as I conceive it. Check out "Staying Alive" in my music section (www.ericclancy.com/music.html) for a taste of what I'm talking about here. At least I'm having fun playing music. This project has helped me re-discover solo piano, and my own relationship with it.

Joseph Decuis - March 21, 2005

I've been working hard on original music for Joseph Decuis. Joseph Decuis is an awe inspiring, top knotch, world-class place in Roanoke Indiana. I've been playing there for over five years, and I was very excited when I began working on original music for the restaurant. You can check out country oasis in my music section, www.ericclancy.com/music.html with George Ogg playing guitar. More will be available soon. Also check the link to Joseph Decuis in my link section.

Shelley Sanders and Eric Clancy at Park Place This Week! - March 19, 2005

Shelley and I have been playing two days a week at Park Place Grill on Main Street for the past year now. Shelley has a huge variety of music that she sings, and she sounds great. Its always a good time. Check us out this Wed from 6:00-8:30 and this Friday from 6:00-8:30!

A Hopeful Cat in a Dog's World - February 27, 2005

Dave Nelson is a musician in Fort Wayne who has a son who suffers from the affects of autism. He has put together several musical projects dedicated to autistic children and medical research. His latest release "A Hopeful Cat in a Dog's World." Can be found on www.songbirdpromotions.com. I wrote a tune for the project called "For Julian" and accompanied Amy Moser (a fine vocalist) on an interesting tune called "Lunacy" and I played with my friend and partner Todd Harold on the first track of the album; "Real." A home studio version of the tune is available in my music section.

I'll have more music with Todd Harold on here soon.
